The Ripple Effect

Ever extending concentric circles describes Jesus’ last instructions to his disciples: Act 1:8 But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth."    There is an epicentre of commission that takes place in a believer’s heart. A moment when the droplet breaks through e surface tension sending a ripple outwards through the spirit, soul and body. When Jesus dropped this commission to his disciples just before He ascended, they were still wondering about earthly kingdoms and time frames. They needed a supernatural upgrade in their thinking and visual shift into the spiritual realm.  Rippling Out It started as a droplet from the home schooling orbits. Chantal had found out about farm where they offered activities for kids ranging from horse rides and nature hikes, to soap making and picking roses. The Provencal styled Langkloof Roses is a picturesque moment captured in time, cascading down a kloof towards the historic town of Wellington.  The droplet became a ripple that extended out to Cape Town and we held our first Missions Auction there last year. We all loved the venue and the family and staff managing the venue. There was a divine connection. When two circling ripples interact there is constructive interference and an instantaneous doubling of amplitude and we realized that there was more to explore. When we were invited to participate in their recent festival that incorporated several ministries around the theme of being the light for Jesus, we decided to ripple out as a church.
