Church Leaders Toolkit Update June 2022
By Apostle Aje Pelser
“It’s fully booked, the people are waiting!”
This line came up in a dream I had during the lockdown. Chantal had come in and alerted me to the people waiting, “The venue is fully booked,” she said.
To give you some context of this dream: during the pandemic, our church meetings had stopped for close to a year and our full time Bible college had no venue to operate. Everything transitioned to digital rooms and online platforms and there was no indication that the lockdown would end any time soon.
The last two Church Leaders Training events in the Gauteng Region of South Africa, confirmed the dream. The first event had to be shifted to a larger venue to accommodate the new affiliate leaders from Pretoria, Refilwe, Rustenberg, Zeerust, Balfour, Ratanda, Heidelberg and Vereeniging.
The response was tremendous, and we give God all the glory for unity of faith being spread across cultural, traditional and denominational lines. The calibre of leadership we met gave me so much hope for South Africa because they were men and women of faith that have proven track records of great exploits of faith in their community in adverse circumstances. The Local Heidelberg team led by Apostle and Prophet Clint and Lisa Dixon, gave a powerful prayer launch with prophetic words and teachings. We established the tabernacle of David with Prophet Chantal and I showed them the inner workings of teaching and preaching.
The orbital networking concepts were explained the autonomous nature of Harvester International Ministries’ confederation was well received. We are humbled by the mutual submission of powerful ministries in the move and celebrate diverse revelations of Christ in each other.
Joseph’s prophecy he received from Jacob reads:
Gen 49:22 "Joseph is a fruitful bough, A fruitful bough by a well; His branches run over the wall.
Gen 49:23 The archers have bitterly grieved him, Shot at him and hated him.
Gen 49:24 But his bow remained in strength, And the arms of his hands were made strong By the hands of the Mighty God of Jacob (From there is the Shepherd, the Stone of Israel),
Gen 49:25 By the God of your father who will help you, And by the Almighty who will bless you With blessings of heaven above, Blessings of the deep that lies beneath, Blessings of the breasts and of the womb.
Gen 49:26 The blessings of your father Have excelled the blessings of my ancestors, Up to the utmost bound of the everlasting hills. They shall be on the head of Joseph, and on the crown of the head of him who was separate from his brothers.
There was a time that Joseph was separate from his brothers, and even persecuted. But God meant it for good, to preserve them in the time of famine. Joseph’s gift made room for him, and God tested him, because he was to become a father to Pharaoh and store up food for the whole known world.
When Joseph met his brothers again, they did not recognize his new form and gifting, he had to reveal himself to them and then they all wept in joy and for the lost years of fellowship, I’m sure! Israel could rest in faith that the generations to come would follow God’s plan.
The Joseph quality of this move of God is explained more fully in our MBTC subject manual: “Apostolic Perspective” available from aje@mbtcenter.onmicrosoft.com
Gen 45:7 And God sent me before you to preserve a posterity for you in the earth, and to save your lives by a great deliverance.
Gen 45:8 So now it was not you who sent me here, but God; and He has made me a father to Pharaoh, and lord of all his house, and a ruler throughout all the land of Egypt.
The seventy leaders that arrived at Harvester Reformational Church, Pretoria recently, were from different regions too, stretching as far as Secunda and Grootvlei in Mpumalanga. Our gracious hosts have been very instrumental in equipping the saints at a leadership level. Apostles Carel and Hilana Marais and their amazing team have raised the standards of hospitality and catering for large groups. Soup on arrival refreshed the weary travellers and set the stage for more fellowship later on.
The De Jager family have accommodated us in Hagios House and their motto is “A place where miracles happen.” Since we have related to the De Jager family, there has been multiple kingdom events and regular Bible Training that has rippled outing the surrounding regions and now even further afield to Mauritius, Malawi and India as well. The Church has even had divine connections as far as Nepal and we celebrated their twenty years at their venue this month with a special Telescope Magazine Edition, recounting the miracles that have occurred and the people that have been built up and sent from there.
Our intention, was to initially hold a Summit in Pretoria, but it turned out that we have now set up a rotational Church Leaders Training Toolkit around the affiliated Harvester orbital network churches in the region. Things are moving fast, and divine connections are springing up in the Eastern Cape, and possibly KZN as well.
Our founders, apostle Andre and Prophet Nola Pelser, received a prophecy from Pastor Flip Gerber long ago, that the Lord will allow them to go from town to town until they have reached the entire nation for God. We continue that work and build upon those strong foundations.
They are mentoring leaders and continue to fulfil their commission with grace and patience.
Chantal started to prophecy on her piano and reminded us that: “There are more for you than against you.” She saw a thresher in the Spirit, that represented the local Harvester Church in Pretoria. She released leaders to sing with their voices to the Lord. Apostle Andile Fodo from Harvester Balfour, sang: “Lift him up!” Which gave Ethan Pelser on bass a chance to play the reggae genre with his dad on the drums! It was such fun! We were privileged to have the next generation of Psalmist with us as we focussed on restoring spirit and truth worship like David did!
Teaching on the new sound of reformation is essential to give people faith to enter a new level of praise and worship. We have encouraged leaders to sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs that reflect the present truth we have entered as a global move of God. Chantal exhorted worshippers to write new songs in their languages that reflect the sermons with apostolic doctrine that the churches so desperately need. She even sang a song in Afrikaans in her original hometown of Pretoria: “Wie is soos die Heer?”
Tony and Pam Ramanjalam have continued to shower us with blessings and encouragements. Every time Tony spoke, he gave such good perspective of the work we are doing as a group. As a couple, I can see them venturing out further afield and eventually planting a church.
My Indian mother in Christ, made such a special curry on the Sunday. She meticulously prepares the subtle flavours and spices and infuses her meals with much love. Meals like that become a highlight of every visit. Thank you, Pam!
We taught, demonstrated the gifts of the Spirit. From an apostolic perspective, we realized that God’s best gift for someone is a combination of the gifts. The categories of gifts will overlap and at the centre of the revelation, speaking and power gifts is the essential work of the Holy Spirit in a life.
God confirmed His word with some signs and wonders. Words of knowledge included one of an ear imbalance that was for Apostle Andile. He confirmed he had been struggling with an in-ear imbalance during the week. God knows what we need. We prayed and laid hands on him in Jesus’ name. The combination of gifts at work here included: a word of knowledge, a gift of faith, and the gift of healing for ears! It was clear that the Lord uses people for different types of healings too. We showed them how they can discern by the Spirit what part of the body to pray for when ministering to the person in need.
Some of the evangelists in the group prayed for the infilling of the Hoy Spirit. Thanks Apostle Jacques and Prophet Jackie Wessels. Jackie is setting up a mission to Mauritius, which he has done for twenty odd years. He has faithfully taken ministers to the Island to serve the local churches who trust his advice and anointing. We are praying about going to see the harvest there in October. Pray with us, there is reasonable accommodation available for ministering teams and we just have to get there! It would be great to minister together with friends in paradise!
After six hours of fellowship and church leaders’ workshops, it was time to go! The tent became really cold at night. We are praying for harvester Pretoria to finish their building project with as much fervency as our own. We can have a joint celebration in time to come in His will!
The Sunday meeting was summarized by Ethan Immanuel as we entered the church: “Family!”
They were singing familiar songs, with a spiritual flow and frequency that resonates with us.
Apostle Carel Marais and his anointed family and friends singing high praises to God was a great experience. We played together and there is great synergy of spirit.
They baptized some young people and honoured fathers. Then gave apostle Carel and me a salute, complete with a typical gift from the region: “A kilogram of Biltong!” On the flight home, my baggage was overweight, and my clothes have a wonderfully spicy smell to them now!
We drove a courtesy car from Buy Below Trade, a kingdom-based business that God has raised up and a place worth a visit to view reasonably priced cars. I have driven several on our trips and their staff and service are excellent. Look at their selection before going anywhere else for a vehicle from a reputable car dealer in this orbital network of businesses and organisations!
We thank the Lord for a memorable weekend that has established lasting friendships and opened new doors. Thank you for partnering with us and praying for this initiative. Our next Church Leader’s Toolkit Event is going to be held in Refilwe, near Cullinan, Gauteng, on the 16th of July Lord willing. The focus will be on planting household groups, youth cells, and building children’s ministry in the local churches.
