Lessons in Revival from Francis Asbury Inspired by the book: “God’s Generals Who Revived Nations” by Roberts Liardon. Whitaker House. Francis Asbury was sent by the Wesley brothers to set up circuits and reach the American frontiers, which he did by horseback! 1. He showed tremendous resolve during the American revolution to reach souls in spirt of political turmoil. 2. Francis encountered much persecution. Once had to hide in the marshlands to avoid his converts being associated with the British Colonial powers of the time. He later became the bishop of the newly formed American Methodist Episcopal Church, branching off from the British Methodist Society He raised up disciples and created circuits for them to preach. He would not require formal education from his preachers so that they could more easily associate with the common folk. He often asked only four questions of the new itinerant preach...

Good Shepherd The last time I went to a town outside Cullinan, in Gauteng province, called Refilwe, we celebrated their inauguration of their church building. While I was there, I had a vision of a new addition of classrooms. I drew the picture and sent it to the senior pastor Maseko. This time, we had an opportunity to train his leaders, as well as those from the region. A team from Uganda representing Christ Sanctuary International, founded by pastor Tucker Nsubuga, were added to the list of delegates. We saw a prophetic word being fulfilled too, that nations would come to this venue, be equipped and sent out. The Church Leaders Toolkit is having ripple effects in the move of God. We focussed on household church groups, youth ministry and children’s church. The Young Reformers Youth Ministry from Harvester reformational Church, Pretoria, taught us how to do the ‘Church Clap’ dance and it was quite a challenge for the church leaders to follow. After catching our breath, I had to start...

I wrote this letter to our Harvester family this morning: 4th of July Harvester Celebrations Dear Harvesters, On the 4th of July we celebrate what God has done since 1991 when we declared our independence from ungodly church structures and doctrines and launched into a new era of reformation, where we are conformed to the image of His son in all aspects of life and ministry. By God’s grace and with your faithful love and support, we have continued to focus on Christ Jesus at the centre of all our activities. The orbital networks with whom we affiliate stretch across the world and include more and more spiritual families that resonate with the same frequency. We continue to fulfil Jesus’ commission to go and make disciples of all nations and we are seeing multiple leader’s training events being fully booked across the country. Apostle Andre and Nola are reaching out to new territories and reconnecting with old friends who have walked in Way since the seventies. The bowling club in Herma...

Church Leaders Toolkit Update June 2022 By Apostle Aje Pelser “It’s fully booked, the people are waiting!” This line came up in a dream I had during the lockdown. Chantal had come in and alerted me to the people waiting, “The venue is fully booked,” she said. To give you some context of this dream: during the pandemic, our church meetings had stopped for close to a year and our full time Bible college had no venue to operate. Everything transitioned to digital rooms and online platforms and there was no indication that the lockdown would end any time soon. The last two Church Leaders Training events in the Gauteng Region of South Africa, confirmed the dream. The first event had to be shifted to a larger venue to accommodate the new affiliate leaders from Pretoria, Refilwe, Rustenberg, Zeerust, Balfour, Ratanda, Heidelberg and Vereeniging. The response was tremendous, and we give God all the glory for unity of faith being spread across cultural, traditional and denominational lines....

Ripple Effect of a Church building It was amazing to learn of the impact of the Sacré-Cœur Basilica in Mont Martre, Paris, France. The Church of the Sacred Heart is one of my favourite sights to visit in the celebrated city of love. I once heard these words in my heart which I believe was from God: “You will build many churches for me.” At the Sacré-Cœur. Mont Martre, Paris, Nov. 2017. 10 Ripple Effects from the building of the Sacred Heart Basilica Church in Paris, France. 1. Hope: The church of the Sacred heart of Christ Basilica was built because the French had just lost a war and the builder wanted to give his people hope again. The French army was defeated by the Prussians army in 1870. Alexandre Legentil, a believer, wanted to relieve the French people from the pain and the humiliation it went through. He wanted the French people to feel better and to rise again, giving them a new basilica. The purpose of the church was to protect the French, but also for them ...
